The Need: Real mastery of sales skills comes from continuous practice. Sales teams are generally afforded training that comes in fits and spurts, a strategy that does not effectively hone a salesperson’s talents. In most organizations, the only measure of a salesperson’s effectiveness is in the raw sales data of units sold over time. Managers are asked to evaluate their force based on these numbers, and they do not accurately reflect the whole of what makes a great team member.
The Solution: Automata Studios and Empire TSL collaborated to create Pepper, Automata’s first product which is poised to transform the sales world. With a combination of mobile web technologies, telephony, and Automata’s expertise, Pepper puts training in your pocket. Automata leveraged the concept of gamification in creating a training program that rewards users in a way similar to Facebook and other online games.
Pepper also features a management console where managers can get a detailed view of how their sales team is progressing. At a glance, a manager can determine both the team’s and the individual’s strengths and weaknesses.
